EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
Ecology Centre Winter Camping
Weekend Long activity; 50 km from North Bay
The Ecology Centre is an educational and recreational facility
Certified instructors provide assistance in the operation of outdoors
activities such as canoeing, rock climbing, hiking, etc.; Food is provided.
Science
North
All day activity, located in Sudbury; 125 km west of North Bay
Science North is a world distinguished Science Centre, with an architectural
marvel full of fun and imagination. Students will be able to hold live
animals, predict the weather, make electricity, test their senses, and
much more.
Snow Shoeing
3-hour activity within the city limits of North Bay
Students will walk along a 2 km trail, experiencing the convenience
of using snowshoes while walking through the forest in deep snow. It
is a wonderful experience.
Le Chantier Outdoors
Centre
A weekend long activity within the city limits of North Bay
During our visit, survival techniques will be demonstrated to the
students. Students will build a camp fire, their own ice shelter, and
will have an opportunity to experience our great Canadian outdoor winter
activities. Lunch is provided.

Jack Pine Hill
A 5-hour activity in North Bay
Students will develop elementary skills in alpine skiing / snowboarding
The Ski / Snowboard Instructors at Jack Pine Hill will provide the
students with an exciting educational ski program. Necessary safety
skills will be demonstrated.
Maple Sugar At Le Chantiers Outdoors
Centre
A 5-hour activity within the city limits of North Bay
Here we will watch and learn the complete Maple Syrup process. Students
will learn the art of tapping a tree and collecting and boiling the
sap to create maple syrup. Serving taffy on the snow and preparing maple
sugar is all part of the fun that the students will enjoy. Lunch will
be cooked over the camp fire.
Toronto
A full day activity
Toronto, our provincial capital, is 350 km south of North Bay and
is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world
This fascinating trip allows students to explore Toronto's majestic
"Casa Loma" with its unique architecture, elegantly furnished
rooms, secret passageways, towers, and an 800 foot tunnel
Students will also have an opportunity to shop at Eaton's, one of
Toronto's largest shopping malls situated in the city's downtown core.
