Antonio Romano Encinas "I feel comfortable in North Bay . I think that Canadians are friendly and nice people. I feel happy with my host family here, although they have different customs. I thought that the food would be a problem but I like the Canadian food. I would prefer Mexico’s meal times, but it isn’t a problem. Sometimes I feel strange eating supper at 6:00 or 7:00 pm instead at 2:00 or 3:00 pm. I’m happy with the school and my classmates are nice, the teachers are good people who help us to improve our English. The Canadian people that I have met are agreeable and they love Mexicans. North Bay is a small city that has all kinds of things to make me happy." Antonio Romano Encinas
Cristina Rueda Flores “Living in another country could be interesting but also kind of difficult. Before I came to Canada I was afraid. I thought that I wouldn’t get along with the host family and roomie. The language was the only thing that I was worried about, and I was afraid of the city because I didn’t know it yet. After I arrived here, I felt very comfortable. The city is beautiful and calm, and the people are nice, kind, and friendly. I think that they love Mexicans. My host family is very gentle, as they always try to help me and now I love them. The school is good and I think that I have learned a lot because the teachers are very helpful. Canada is very different from my country: the weather, people, and customs. I like it though. I have been in Canada for 2 months and I miss my family, and friends, but I’d rather stay in Canada because this is a very good experience for me." Cristina Rueda Flores Fahl
